MeDeMAP researchers Jeff Wimmer and Nico Carpentier will participate in the upcoming IMWK Research Talk titled “Democracy and Media in Europe”. The event will take place at Augsburg University,Germany, on 31 January 2025, at 10:00 am (CET).

Hosted by the Institute of Media, Knowledge, and Communication (IMWK), this talk will explore critical intersections of media and democracy in contemporary Europe. In addition to presenting key findings from the MeDeMAP project, this event will serve as an opportunity to disseminate the recently published book “Democracy and Media in Europe: A Discursive-Material Approach” that emerged as one of the project’s significant outputs. This publication delves into media and democracy research, aligning with the event’s theme and contributing valuable insights to ongoing discussions.

The session will also feature engaging discussions with Anne Grüne (University of Erfurt) and Tanja Thomas (University of Tübingen), alongside contributions from other participants.
